One of the perks of working in the 21st century is the ability to work remotely. Many employers are offering this service to their employees. And a new study found that a whopping 22% of American workers expect to be able to do their job remotely.

Another trend to keep an eye out for is the rise of the hybrid worker. This term is used to describe an employee who works a traditional full-time role but also undertakes freelance, part-time or contract assignments. The most interesting findings were that a majority of hybrid employees say their direct manager is the most proximate connection to their company’s culture.

However, the same survey revealed that nearly one in 10 workers say their relationships are worsening. That’s a big deal, if only because it’s a major contributor to performance.
